The director of the county's public transit office says the shuttle will start every day at Campus Apartments, making stops at Catamount Homes, Sunrise Trailer Park, Laurel Oaks, Hampton Apartments & Rabbit Ridge, Summit Apartments, and Catamount Peaks. There will be one stop on campus at a drop-off point near A.K. Hinds University Center and Killian Building.
WCU students, faculty and staff ride free of charge by showing their WCU identification cards. All others may ride for a charge of 75 cents per boarding.
The off-campus shuttle, which will start with one bus on the circuit every day, is being funded for two years as a demonstration project between the North Carolina Department of Transportation and Jackson County Transit. For further information, call the transit office at (828) 586-0233.
