Career Days

Our faculty is dedicated to helping our students enter the workforce well-prepared for the world of business. With that goal in mind, we hold two events: Interview Day and “Meet the Firms” Night.

Interview Day

Interview Day takes place every September. We invite local, regional, and national accounting firms and companies to interview our seniors for possible internships. As a result, we typically place ten to fifteen students in spring semester internships with pay ranging from $10 - $25 per hour.

We also hold a banquet and awards event on the evening of Interview Day for our Master of Accountancy students. This event is sponsored by some of the visiting firms.

“Meet the Firms” Night

This event takes place every spring, usually in April. Sponsored by the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants, we hold this event on the UNC-Asheville campus. This event allows our students, together with students from other regional institutions, to meet local, regional, and national firm representatives to talk about employment opportunities.
