If You Have the Title of the Work and/or the Artist

- Individual works do not have entire books written about them, you will need to look for a catalogue raisonné (a catalog that covers only one artist) by searching the Library Catalog by the artist's name.
- In the search box type: catalogue raisonne and the artist name. For ex: catalogue raisonne and dali
- Use a reproduction index to locate an illustration in a book or journal.
If You Need to Find an Image on a Specific Subject but You do not Have the Title or Name of an Artist
- Search one of the databases.
- In the Library Catalog do a keyword search and type: "your topic " and "pictorial works". For ex: dogs and pictorial works
- Books that contain illustrations will have in the description the word "ill." For ex: xxii, 186 p. : ill. ; 18 cm
