At WCU, we understand the importance technology plays in keeping competitive. To help prepare our students for success, we require them to enter WCU with a networkable computer, and we offer computer training before classes start.
In the JumpStart computer training program, students learn all about basic computing concepts specific to WCU—such as access to the university network; campus email, web browsers, and the university’s web portal, My Cat; and the technology services and support available to them.
This course is offered online via our WebCT software so that students who can connect to the Internet can participate in the training from anywhere in the world. Students are expected to complete this course at orientation or by August 1, 2008.
To register for the course, please contact your academic adviser. For further information about the course, please contact Philip Garrison.
